ZHANG Cheng-Li

Chengli Zhang is a professor of the department of geology at Northwest University. He earned his Ph.D. in geosciences from the Northwest University. Since 1982, he is actively engaged in the teaching and research on the petrology and geochemistry for the igneous rocks. His lectures involve in the courses such as “Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology”, “Environment Geochemistry”, “Granitoids and Their Geodynamic Significance” and “Elementary Geochemistry”. In the last decade, Zhang, as a key member or a responsible person, took part in numerous projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and his research interests range from the origin to the geodynamics of igneous rocks in continental orogen, with an emphasis on their tracing the processes of mountain building. He, as an author or co-author, gained over 60 scientific publications in the decade.
