Areas of Expertise:

Nowadays, my research interests center on the following two aspects:

(1) Lacustrine microbial dolomite in Middle Permian Lucaogou Formation, Urumchi, Northern Xinjiang, China. The further study is on-going.

(2) Sublacustrine hydrothermal sedimentary rocks in Santanhu Basin, Northeast Xinjiang, NW China. From outcrops and drilling cores in Santanghu Basin, our research team found layers of hydrothermal sedimentary rocks characterized as analcime, sanidine, dolomite, quartz, etc. Geochemistry and Sr, Nd isotope indicate that substance from deep earth may participate in the hydrothermal fluid with which the hydrothermal minerals were deposited. The further study is on-going.

Current Research Programs & Projects:

2009 -2011  The origins of lacustrine dolomite in Permian, Northern Xinjiang. (From NSFC)

2011 -2013  Geochemistry and isotope tracing of Permian lacustrine hydrothermal sedimentary rocks in Santanghu Basin. (From State Key Laboratory of Continental Dynamics, Northwest University)
